The Issaquah Schools Foundation was formed in 1987 to support the students of the Issaquah School District in receiving the best possible educational experience. ISF recognizes that school budgets are limited and classroom demands are high. In an effort to enhance the learning environment in all of our schools, ISF continues its practice of awarding grants on an annual basis.
All teachers, administrators and parents within the Issaquah School District are eligible to apply.
Each year, ISF donates a significant sum to the District for directed curriculum support. In 2012, that donation is targeted to the support of Elementary Literacy, which the District has indicated will be funneled toward leveled reading materials. While ISF is not excluding the possibility of funding elementary literacy grants, such grant applications would have to be particularly innovative and/or compelling to be awarded funding during this grant cycle.
Named for a past superintendent of the Issaquah School District, Kateri Brow Grants are intended to encourage continuous improvement in education within the Issaquah School District. Big Idea Grants are awarded for programs that reflect vision and innovation in education. Biggest Need Grants are awarded for programs that address student, teacher, building or district-wide needs in education. The awarding of grant monies in this category is intended to encourage continuous improvement in education within the Issaquah School District. Kateri Brow Grants are awarded in amounts up to $10,000.
ISF recognizes that school budgets are limited and classroom demands are high. In an effort to enhance the learning environment of individual classrooms, libraries, computer labs, resource centers, and schools, a program for awarding Classroom Enrichment Grants has been implemented. Grants in this program are funded up to $1,000.
Whether you are ready to begin a grant request, or if you have almost completed your application, the gateway to grants is here.
